The Nerazzurri coach is optimistic about recovering key players before the league match and the Champions League final
Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi is eager to recover two of his most important players, Lautaro Martínez and Davide Frattesi, ahead of the upcoming Serie A fixture against Como.
While neither is expected to return to full training immediately, the staff remains hopeful that both will be fit for the final training session before Friday's trip to Sinigaglia.
According to Corriere dello Sport via Fcinter1908.it, Frattesi continued with his personalized training on Monday and is unlikely to rejoin the group today.
Like Lautaro, he’s being monitored daily. The match against Como, just eight days before the highly anticipated showdown with PSG, could represent an important step in Lautaro’s path to full recovery and help him regain his match rhythm ahead of the season’s biggest challenge. However, a final decision will only be made at the very last moment.
For Lautaro to play even a short spell against the Lariani, physical guarantees will be essential. The necessity of having him at peak condition for the Champions League final rules out any rush or, worse, any risk.
While his inclusion in the squad is not in doubt, the coaching staff will make a last-minute call on whether — and how long — he will feature in Inter Milan's final league match.

However, there's a key difference in terms of tactical importance: Frattesi is not considered a likely starter for the Champions League final but is viewed as a crucial "12th man" — someone who can shift the momentum in the second half.
He has already proved decisive in key matches against Bayern Munich and Barcelona this season.
His issue involves the abdominal wall, which requires careful management. Despite that, he’s expected to be part of the squad for the Como match unless there are late setbacks.
Pavard set to start, while Bastoni could get some rest
Benjamin Pavard is also back in contention, though he remained on the bench during the weekend clash against Lazio.
Out since April 27, the French defender needs playing time to regain match fitness. With four more full training sessions scheduled before the trip to Como, Pavard has a good chance of starting. The goal is to have him fully sharp ahead of the Champions League final against PSG.
Inzaghi is also expected to rotate several players against Como, after fielding a full-strength side against Lazio.
One of the likely candidates for rest is Alessandro Bastoni, who has played 289 minutes in just three matches against Barcelona, Torino, and Lazio.
With the Champions League final looming, Inter Milan’s coaching staff is focused on balancing recovery, rhythm, and readiness — a delicate equilibrium that could define their European fate.
