Positive news from the infirmary as Chivu prepares for Bologna clash

Inter Milan, under Cristian Chivu, were back on the training pitch this morning at Appiano Gentile.

Just hours after the 1-0 victory at the New Balance Stadium in Bergamo, the Nerazzurri milan resumed work at the club’s training center, beginning preparations for the upcoming match against Bologna, which will open the 2025 calendar year.

According to Sky Sport via Fcinter1908, encouraging news has arrived from the medical department for both Chivu and Inter Milan.

Positive news from the infirmary as Chivu prepares for Bologna clash.

During today’s session, Francesco Acerbi trained fully with the rest of the squad and is now officially back at Chivu’s disposal.

The defender AC Milan had been sidelined for two weeks due to discomfort in the right hamstring, an issue that forced him to miss several matches.

Acerbi was unavailable for the Serie A fixtures against Genoa and Atalanta, the Coppa Italia clash with Venezia, and the Italian Super Cup match against Bologna.

Decision pending for San Siro

The former Lazio defender AC Milan will therefore be available for the upcoming league match at San Siro against Bologna.

The remaining question is whether Chivu will decide to start him immediately or ease him back gradually into action.

Either way, Acerbi’s return provides a timely boost for Inter Milan as they look to build on their recent momentum and start 2025 on a strong note.
