Ademola Lookman tops Inter Milan’s shortlist, with Chivu eager to unlock his potential in a more dynamic and flexible system
The priority is Lookman. In Atalanta’s view, €50 million (£42.1 million) is needed to transfer him from Zingonia to Appiano Gentile.
A sensational name was dropped this morning by Corriere dello Sport via Fcinter1908 for Inter Milan’s attack: according to the newspaper, the Nerazzurri club is seriously pursuing Ademola Lookman, a forward expected to leave Atalanta this summer.
Lookman fits the profile for Chivu’s tactical vision in attack
Here are the details:
“If Inter Milan are looking for more goals to add to their attack — already composed of Lautaro, Thuram, Bonny, and Pio Esposito — as well as tactical flexibility to allow Chivu to switch to a 3-4-2-1 or 4-3-3 formation, then Ademola Lookman offers both.

With double-digit goal tallies in all three of his seasons at Atalanta (52 goals total), and a tactical skill set honed under Gasperini, the Nigerian forward tops the Nerazzurri’s offensive wishlist.
It’s a serious shortlist, too — second place goes to Lois Openda from RB Leipzig, followed by Moroccan Eliesse Ben Seghir from Monaco, and Frenchman Christopher Nkunku of Chelsea.
But Lookman is the clear priority, and Atalanta value him at €50 million (£42.1 million). The Bergamo club had long planned for his sale as a way to generate funds for their summer transfer business."
Inter Milan have heard the same message repeatedly in recent weeks — especially while inquiring about Ederson during the time when Calhanoglu’s departure was still a possibility. Atalanta’s stance was clear:
“Ederson is not for sale — we’ll get the money from Lookman.”
This, in essence, has been the message from Percassi’s management. And after hearing that Lookman would be the one leaving Bergamo, Inter Milan’s technical area clearly sensed the opportunity.
