"El Toro" fought for every ball that came his way, showed flashes of brilliance, and battled fiercely against every opponent who tried to stop him.

A massive, extraordinary, all-around display, crowned by his 150th goal in an Inter Milan shirt and yet another celebration with the fans, a celebration full of passion and grit, as if embracing each and every supporter.

The Nerazzurri captain was also named UEFA’s MVP of the match, and he described the night with these words:

"It was definitely a match we’ll remember for a long time: Inter Milan’s got real balls. There’s so much work and sacrifice behind this result. The schedule is packed, but Inter Milan never gives up — Inter Milan has heart, character, and soul.
At times today, we suffered, but once again, Inter Milan showed we’re here to achieve great things.
We always think about winning everything — if you don’t, you shouldn’t be playing this sport.

I thank my teammates, the staff, and these amazing fans who pushed us, as always.
The match against Barcelona will be special — they have a great history in this competition. But now, our focus is on the league.”
