A magnificent Inter Milan win away at Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. 

This was Lautaro Martinez’s analysis after the match.

Speaking to Sky Sport via Fcinter1908.it, Lautaro Martinez said:

“I won a challenge in midfield. At first, I wanted to shoot with my left, then I changed my mind. 

It was a beautiful goal, and an important one. This is a hugely important victory after the draw in Parma — we had talked about it in the past few days. 

If we wanted to win, we had to put that match behind us. This win shows our quality, character, and personality. We were excellent in the defensive phase.

We played well in a great stadium against a great team, and the boys honored this jersey. 

In the second leg, we’ll need to play the same kind of match. For now, our focus shifts to the league — we’ll think about the return leg afterwards.”
