Inter Milan target Guglielmo Vicario as their main option, but bigger ambitions are taking shape behind the scenes

The goalkeeping situation at Inter Milan is becoming one of the most intriguing puzzles ahead of the summer window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908, the club is preparing for a key transition between the posts, with several scenarios under consideration.

At the center of it all is Guglielmo Vicario, currently the leading candidate to take over as first-choice goalkeeper. Reliable, experienced, and already tested at a high level, he represents the most concrete option.

Sommer’s future still open

The future of Yann Sommer remains uncertain.

His contract is approaching its end, and after seasons of mixed performances, Inter Milan are ready to move in a new direction. 

However, there is still a possibility that the Swiss goalkeeper could stay on as a backup, with the club willing to offer him a secondary role behind the new starter.
