Carlos Augusto: "We gave our hearts but it wasn't enough"
The thoughts of the Italian and the Brazilian full-back after the loss to Roma at San Siro

A tough defeat for Inter Milan, defeated 0-1 at San Siro by Roma.
It's a result which hurts and one that the team will need to bounce back from right away ahead of the Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona.
Carlos Augusto shared his thoughts at the end of the match:
“There are some physical problems but I don't want to come up with excuses. They're a good side and when you push, you use a lot of energy. We were a bit unlucky, we need to see what we made a mistake on to pick ourselves back up given the importance of the match on Wednesday. We have the quality to come back in a game in general, but Roma did well to remain compact and we didn't make the most of the chances we made. At times, you get physically tired and there's the need to have the energy to win: we gave everything today but we can't always bounce back in these sort of games.
We gave our hearts to win, but we didn't manage it: we will try to bounce back and give our all to win the semi-final in the Champions League. ”
Carlos Augusto

“We've lost three games and we're sorry because we've worked so hard to get to this point in the season, we can't give up. There's still lots to play for, we know how difficult it will be but we will stay together as a team and look ahead. The next match is fascinating and difficult but we will give our all to bring the win home. Often, matches like these prepare themselves but we must recover on a physical and mental level. We will prepare ourselves as usual, to go to Barcelona and give a brilliant performance. The objective for the final games of the season is to win them. ”
