After Inter Milan’s crushing Champions League defeat, Inzaghi felt his cycle in Milan was over and opted for a fresh start with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908.it, something clearly snapped in Simone Inzaghi’s mind after Inter Milan’s disastrous Champions League final against PSG.
The 5-0 loss— the heaviest ever in a final—was simply too much to bear. Continuing at Inter Milan became too difficult. It stung too deeply.

Final defeat, frustration, and the end of an era at Inter Milan
Inzaghi evidently considered his cycle in Milan to be over and was tired of being scapegoated for the Nerazzurri's defeats.
In his mind, the Inter Milan environment should have protected him better and acknowledged his achievements more—particularly for having turned the club’s finances around, mainly thanks to nearly €200 million (£170 million) in European revenues from prize money and ticket sales.
But that recognition never truly came.
So Simone says goodbye to Inter Milan and is ready to begin a new chapter—immediately—with Al-Hilal.
He will join the Saudi club this weekend in Miami, Florida, to begin preparations for the upcoming Club World Cup. A global stage awaits him—but it won’t be from the Inter Milan bench.
