Fabrizio Romano reveals twist in Leoni chase and new moves for De Winter and Esposito
Sebastiano Esposito, Leoni and De Winter: Fabrizio Romano’s updates on transfer talks and hot names for Inter Milan
From Sebastiano Esposito to Leoni and De Winter. Fabrizio Romano, in his regular update on his YouTube channel, shared the latest on Inter Milan’s transfer market:
“After a long back-and-forth, Sebastiano Esposito is leaving Inter Milan and will join Cagliari. He was contested by Parma and Cagliari all week, and now Cagliari are waiting for the final green light before carrying out the usual medical tests. It was a very tough head-to-head.”
From stalled talks to surprise bids: what’s next for Inter Milan’s targets
“Leoni? From what I understand, discussions about Leoni for Italian clubs are currently blocked and not progressing.
Milan was mentioned after the sale of Thiaw, but it’s important to say that Liverpool are keeping a real eye on him.
Today Parma value him at around €40 million (£33.6 million), but no one has made an offer close to that.

He is liked by Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus, but Liverpool is the team that could shake things up if they decide to strike. For now, they haven’t made an offer. Parma hope to keep him, but if a very important bid arrives from Liverpool or Italy, it would be very hard to resist — both for the player and for Parma. Liverpool’s interest is growing stronger and stronger.”
“Milan are moving for De Winter, a player many like. Milan have had contacts for De Winter, and the agents have opened the door to Milan.
De Winter has many options: Bournemouth (but nothing advanced), Galatasaray (who have called), but he prefers Italy or the Premier League.
Inter Milan also moved a few weeks ago and for several weeks kept him on their list, but they never made an offer because a defender would have to leave first.
At the moment, neither the Bisseck nor Pavard situations are advanced. Milan have spoken with De Winter’s agents, and Genoa expect a formal offer from Milan.
The talk is €18–20 million (£15.12–16.8 million) plus bonuses to reach €25 million (£21 million). Chalobah has also been proposed to Milan but could come into play for De Winter.”
