With the new Inter Milan era under Cristian Chivu, a new football life is also arriving for Davide Frattesi, who just months ago was on the verge of leaving and is now set to play a leading role.

Tuttosport via Fcinter1908 writes: “In this regard, the possible move of Davide Frattesi to Newcastle seems to have faded (the English side have just signed Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa for 45 million euros (£38.5m)). 

The former Sassuolo player is certainly liked by the English, but he is considered by Chivu to be a potentially devastating addition and almost like a new signing for Inter Milan’s directors.”

“Only a few months ago Frattesi was ready to pack his bags, but now he wants to stay in Milan and claim that starting shirt he never truly wore under Inzaghi. 

For this reason, in September he could also sign a contract extension – from 2.8 to 3.4 million euros (£2.4m–£2.9m) – with the Nerazzurri until 2029 (unless a cheque of 40 to 45 million euros (£34.2m–£38.5m) arrives from England).”
