Moretto reveals details of January deal and competition from rivals
Inter Milan completed the signing of Yanis Massolin from Modena in January, and market expert Matteo Moretto has now shed further light on the operation.
Speaking on YouTube, Moretto recalled both the financial structure of the deal and the competition surrounding the French midfielder, born in 2002. “Inter Milan finalized the signing of Massolin in January,” he explained. “He is a Modena talent who is doing very well, including recently with an important goal over the weekend.”
Moretto detailed the figures involved in the transfer. “I want to clarify the exact numbers of the operation: €3.5 million (£3.0 million) plus bonuses to reach a total of around €6 million (£5.1 million), along with a percentage on a future resale.”

The investment reflects the club’s belief in a player who, according to Moretto, has already shown he belongs at this level. “So far, Massolin has played 17 matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He is a player with the right rhythm and intensity for Serie A.”
Napoli, Parma and Bologna also in the race for Massolin
Inter Milan were not alone in tracking the midfielder. Moretto confirmed that several Italian clubs had shown concrete interest before the deal was completed.
“In addition to Inter Milan, there were other Italian teams who wanted him,” he said. “Among them Napoli, Parma and Bologna made inquiries.”
Despite the competition, Inter Milan moved decisively, securing a young midfielder considered ready to grow within Serie A and potentially increase his value in the coming seasons.
