Inter Milan complete breakthrough in Khalaili transfer
Inter Milan have reached a full agreement to sign Anan Khalaili after a decisive round of negotiations, with the winger choosing the Nerazzurri despite interest from Napoli
Inter Milan are on the verge of announcing the signing of Anan Khalaili after reaching a full agreement with Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in a deal worth €25 million (approximately $29.5 million) plus performance-related bonuses.
The highly rated winger is expected to become one of the club's key additions this summer, with both the player and his family confirming their enthusiasm about the move.
Khalaili's father recently revealed that the 20-year-old had spoken with head coach Cristian Chivu, a conversation that further strengthened his desire to join the Serie A champions.
Direct negotiations proved decisive
According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari of Sportitalia, Napoli had identified Khalaili as a transfer target long before Inter Milan entered the race. Although the Partenopei had discussed personal terms with the player, they were unable to present an offer that satisfied Union Saint-Gilloise.
Everything changed once Inter Milan made their move.
The report explains that the Nerazzurri chose an unconventional but highly effective negotiation strategy.

Rather than relying on intermediaries or football agencies, Inter Milan established direct contact with the Belgian club, allowing both parties to work through the details without lengthy negotiations or unnecessary delays.
That approach reportedly accelerated the agreement and prevented the deal from becoming a prolonged transfer saga.
Khalaili is also expected to sign a five-year contract worth approximately €2.2 million per season (around $2.6 million) before bonuses.
Inter Milan beat competition to secure Khalaili
Longari also dismissed reports suggesting that Como seriously threatened to hijack the transfer.
While the newly promoted Serie A side was linked with the player, the interest never went beyond media speculation.
By that stage, Khalaili had already made it clear that Inter Milan was his preferred destination. The player had reached a full personal agreement with the Nerazzurri several days earlier and remained committed to completing the move.
One of the final obstacles involved the 15% future resale clause held by Maccabi Haifa.
Inter Milan agreed to take responsibility for that financial obligation, a decision that ultimately unlocked the deal and convinced all parties to move forward.
The club now views Khalaili as a long-term investment and a player capable of adding pace, creativity and attacking quality on the right flank.
