After two missing VAR audios involving Inter Milan, a third case emerges—this time tied to a crucial penalty in the Lazio match, raising new concerns about transparency

The handling of VAR decisions, especially the release of audio recordings in controversial situations, has been one of the major weak points of the 2024/2025 Serie A season.

Until now, it was believed that there were two VAR audio clips involving Inter Milan that were never made public.

The first was the Pavlovic-Thuram incident—a situation never clarified due to the absence of released VAR audio.

Then came the N'Dicka-Bisseck clash, where DAZN formally requested the VAR audio, but the referees failed to deliver it.

However, Italian newspaper La Repubblica via Fcinter1908.it now reveals there’s a third incident—previously unknown to the public—that has left Inter Milan’s management increasingly frustrated.

It concerns the handball by Yann Bisseck during the match against Lazio, which resulted in a penalty that tied the game 2-2.

Inter Milan furious: no live VAR Audio, just edited clips for Bisseck handball

According to the report, Inter Milan were particularly upset that the referees provided DAZN only the post-VAR discussion, while omitting the live reactions and initial decisions by referee Chiffi, which would have shed light on how the handball was initially judged on the pitch.

According to the report, Inter Milan were particularly upset that the referees provided DAZN only the post-VAR discussion, while omitting the live reactions and initial decisions by referee Chiffi, which would have shed light on how the handball was initially judged on the pitch.

What Chiffi said in the heat of the moment remains unknown—and that lack of clarity has only fueled suspicions.

This adds to an already growing perception in the Inter Milan camp that transparency and consistency in VAR communication are lacking.

The league has yet to offer a formal explanation on the issue, and fans and media alike are demanding reforms—both to ensure fairness and to restore trust in the system.
