Ademola Lookman is moving closer to Inter Milan. Today could be the decisive day to get Atalanta’s green light for the Nigerian’s transfer.
However, not at the figures Inter Milan originally hoped for.
“So far, it’s been a slow but steady process of approaching Atalanta’s demands, but now it’s time to accelerate,” reports Pasquale Guarro.

The last contact between the two sides took place on Friday, July 25, when Inter Milan communicated their intention to present an offer worth €45 million (£38 million), including bonuses.
Atalanta president Percassi, however, made it clear that this wouldn't be enough. As a result, it’s likely that Inter Milan’s CEO Beppe Marotta will return today with an improved offer—possibly one with a fixed base of €44–45 million (£37–38 million) plus bonuses. That could be the exact formula needed for the deal to finally go through.
Lookman is waiting confidently, aware that Inter Milan are pushing harder to reach an agreement with Atalanta.
Meanwhile, today in Milan, the Lega Serie A council will be held, and both Marotta and Percassi are expected to attend in person.
This could turn Via Rosellini into the stage for the most talked-about negotiation of the last two weeks.
