Inter Milan transfer focus: attack still missing a dribbler

Inter Milan left the summer window without signing a player with Lookman’s profile, and the lack of dribbling quality remains evident

The focus is on the Inter Milan squad and what could become the next objective for the board at Viale della Liberazione. 

Some gaps remain in the Inter Milan roster at the end of this summer transfer window. Above all, the main issue concerns the attack, where after the pursuit of Lookman, Inter Milan not only failed to secure the Atalanta player but also did not bring in any other profiles able to guarantee the same characteristics.

This topic was also highlighted during Sport Mediaset’s via Fcinter1908 news bulletin. The Italina journalist Angiolo Radice explained: “Inter Milan do not have a player with Lookman’s characteristics, and he would have been very useful. 

There is no one in the team who can strongly beat defenders one-on-one: Inter Milan are the last team in Serie A for dribbles attempted and also for successful dribbles.”

Alternatives for Inter Milan: from Ndiaye to Fofana

Radice further noted that market rumors at least gave some perspective: an alternative was considered, such as Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, but Inter Milan will need to make another attempt in the next transfer window. 

One potential name is Malick Fofana from Lyon, who could fit the dribbling profile missing in the Nerazzurri squad.
