Inter Milan targets three strategic signings ahead of Club World Cup
Three signings for the Club World Cup—and possibly more. Inter Milan are planning to strengthen their squad for the upcoming tournament, and the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport via Fcinter1908.it reports on potential transfer moves.
“That’s why Inter Milan are looking to bring in fresh legs even before the start of the global competition, taking advantage of the special transfer window running from June 1st to June 10th.

In fact, the Nerazzurri have already moved early—back in February, they completed the signing of Luka Sučić from Dinamo Zagreb.
The deal will be made official at the beginning of next month, meaning the Croatian midfielder will be ready to debut under Inzaghi’s guidance in the United States.”
Second target on the list
Alongside Sučić, Inter Milan are planning two more quick signings. The first target is Luis Henrique, winger from Marseille.
He’s expected to join Dumfries on the right flank. Inter Milan have already reached a verbal agreement with the Brazilian for a five-year deal—only agent fees are still being negotiated.
On the other hand, there’s still no deal with Marseille, although talks have progressed recently.
Inter Milan have offered €25 million (£21.1 million) including bonuses, while the French club are still holding out for €30 million (£25.4 million).
Some extra effort will be required, but the good relationship between the two clubs raises optimism for a positive outcome soon.
Third signing: defensive options on the table
The third addition should come in defense, though the final target is yet to be defined.
The latest name to emerge is Koni De Winter, joining a shortlist that also includes Solet, Beukema, and Lucumí.
Age is a key factor—Inter Milan want a player with potential—and so is versatility: the new defender must be able to play both as a wide center-back and in the middle of a back three.
Financial aspects will also play a major role, with valuations already exceeding €20 million (£16.9 million).
Still, Inter Milan are ready to invest heavily in this market, boosted by their deep Champions League run.
Working within the Italian market might also allow for more favorable transfer structures.
Young talents: Valentin Carboni and Pio Esposito
Inzaghi will also have Valentin Carboni available for the Club World Cup.
It will be a crucial opportunity for the youngster to regain rhythm after a serious knee injury and for the club to evaluate his future.
There’s also Pio Esposito, returning from his loan at Spezia, although his presence could be affected by the Under-21 European Championship scheduled from June 11 to 29.
One thing is certain: Inter Milan will show up at the Club World Cup with a broader squad, allowing some of the veterans to take on a more measured role.
