Inter Milan’s European run ends as Bodo Glimt win both legs, taking full advantage of their physical edge and clinical finishing

Inter Milan’s hopes of advancing in Europe were dashed as the team lost 2–1 at San Siro to Bodo Glimt, sealing their elimination after also suffering defeat in Norway.

The Nerazzurri failed to overturn the deficit, producing a lacklustre display marked by missed opportunities and an inability to match the Norwegian side’s tempo.

Bodo Glimt once again showed their superior athleticism, defending compactly and striking effectively on the counterattack.

Inter Milan pushed forward with determination but couldn’t find the breakthrough, with frustration growing as the clock ran down in front of their home supporters.

Post-match reactions from the dressing room

Speaking to InterTV via Fcinter1908 after the match, defender Yann Bisseck shared his disappointment:

“Luck wasn’t on our side — the ball just didn’t want to go in. They played a solid game, credit to them. I’m proud of the team for staying in it until the final minute. We’re disappointed tonight, but tomorrow is another day. We still have two competitions left and we’ll give everything to win them.”

His teammate Luis Henrique echoed those sentiments:

“We did everything we could to score against a strong team but didn’t succeed. They deserved to win. We were unlucky, but football is like that. Now we must focus on the league — it’s important, and we’ll do everything to go all the way.”

Inter Milan now shift their attention back to domestic objectives, hoping to channel this setback into renewed energy for the remainder of the season.
