Inter Milan aims to offload surplus players before making the final moves to complete the squad, with a major investment reserved for a central defender

Inter Milan’s work in the transfer market isn’t over yet. The Nerazzurri are planning to offload their surplus players to make room for the final reinforcements needed to complete the squad.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Fcinter1908, the management’s strategy is clear:

"The antennas of the directors in Viale della Liberazione will be sharply tuned to any opportunities the market may present, with one guiding principle to follow."

The most significant investment — around €30 million (£25 million) — will be reserved for a central defender.

Taremi and Stankovic exits could fund final offensive move

Meanwhile, the sale of Mehdi Taremi (possibly along with Aleksandar Stankovic, who is close to joining Club Brugge) could help finance the final attacking signing.

The profile sought includes aerial ability, pace, and leadership — all qualities vital for the European campaign ahead.

As for the attacking midfielder, the search is wide open. There are no strict age requirements for the new arrival.

What matters most is experience and readiness: Inter Milan wants a reliable player who can fit immediately. Creativity, tactical intelligence, and the ability to connect midfield and attack are key attributes.

A gamble would be too risky at this point of the season, given the club’s ambitions in both Serie A and the UEFA Champions League. "A gamble would be too risky," concludes La Rosea.

The club has already demonstrated financial discipline and smart planning in recent windows, and these final moves will likely follow the same logic: value investments, strategic profiles, and a squad tailored for depth, balance, and flexibility.
