Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is preparing major lineup changes for Saturday’s Serie A match against Verona to keep key players fresh for Barcelona

Simone Inzaghi is considering a full-blown revolution. Inter Milan will face Barcelona at the Meazza on Tuesday, but first they must deal with the Verona fixture.

The match will take place today at San Siro, just 72 hours after the away game at Montjuïc and three days before the return leg against the Blaugrana.

In Serie A, hopes of catching up with Napoli are slim and largely tied to Napoli’s away match against Lecce.

Correa is guaranteed to start, since he’s not on the UEFA list and can’t play in the Champions League.

Rest rotation: Champions League the real priority

Meanwhile, in the Champions League, Inter Milan’s ambitious goal depends entirely on the team's efforts.

That’s why Inzaghi is expected to rest many of the starters who will take on Flick’s squad in what’s seen as the season’s biggest showdown.

In front of Sommer, Bisseck will be the only defender on double duty, joined by De Vrij and Carlos Augusto in a reshuffled back three.

In midfield, Asllani will replace the suspended Calhanoglu, alongside Frattesi and Zielinski.

On the flanks, Darmian and Zalewski will take charge.

Up front, Correa is guaranteed to start, since he’s not on the UEFA list and can’t play in the Champions League.

Next to him, it will be either Arnautovic or Taremi, with the Austrian currently the frontrunner.

This is the likely Inter Milan lineup:

INTER MILAN (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, De Vrij, Carlos Augusto; Darmian, Frattesi, Asllani, Zielinski, Zalewski; Arnautovic, Correa.
