Inter Milan have made a concrete offer for Jonathan David, aiming to beat strong competition from Premier League giants and Barcelona in the summer transfer race.
One of Inter Milan’s main targets for the upcoming summer transfer window is strengthening the attacking department by adding a reliable forward to support Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram. Their number one target is Jonathan David.
According to British outlet TeamTalk via Fcinter1908.it, the Nerazzurri are stepping up their efforts to sign the Lille striker, whose contract expires on June 30.
TeamTalk has learned that Inter Milan already submitted a contract offer to David’s representatives in early March: a five-year deal worth €4.5 million (£3.8 million) per season plus bonuses, bringing the total to around €6 million (£5.1 million) per season.

Inter Milan lead the race as talks progress with David’s camp
Sources state that Inter Milan are close to finalizing an agreement with David and are working on agent commissions and final contract details.
Inter Milan are by far the club that has made the most concrete move for the Canadian forward, with club president Giuseppe Marotta determined to bring him to Milan.
Nonetheless, competition remains fierce: Liverpool and three other Premier League clubs, as well as Barcelona and Marseille, are reportedly interested. However, TeamTalk claims Inter Milan remain the frontrunners for now.
David has given verbal consent to continue negotiations with Inter Milan, in hopes of finalizing the agreement soon.
