After the memorable game at San Siro against Bayern München, Inter Milan are preparing to resume their Serie A 2024/25 campaign.

The Nerazzurri will take to the field today Sunday 20 April, Easter Sunday, at 18:00 CEST at Stadio Dall'Ara to take on Bologna.

The matchday 33 game pits Inter Milan (71 points) against Bologna (57 points). The previous meeting this season came on 15 January and ended 2-2: Inter Milan responded to Castro's opener with goals from Dumfries and Lautaro, before Holm's equaliser.

Previous meetings: the last time at Easter

There have been 155 Serie A meetings between Inter Milan and Bologna: the Nerazzurri have won 75 matches compared to Bologna's 43, with 37 draws between the sides.

For the 40th time in their history, Inter Milan will play an Easter Sunday match in the league, just like Bologna.

The Nerazzurri and Rossoblù are the two sides who have played the most on this day, ahead of Roma on 39.

It will be the fifth occasion on which Bologna and Inter Milan have played on Easter Sunday: both sides with two wins each.

The last time that Inter Milan played on Easter Sunday was 11 April 2024. On Serie A matchday 29, Inter Milan faced Perugia away at Stadio Renato Curi.

It was a weird season for Inter Milan as they fought for fourth place with Parma and Lazio, which would lead to preliminary qualification for the Champions League: the clash was played in between the quarter-final in the UEFA Cup against Marseille. Inter Milan took to the field with the yellow jersey: with the scoring being opened by a brilliant strike from Adriano in the 24th minute.

The home side managed to bounce back with goals from Eusebio Di Francesco and Dario Hubner, in the final stages of their careers. The match was hard-fought, but Inter Milan managed to secure a very important win, with Adriano's second goal and a goal from Oba Oba Martins.

Inter Milan Stats

Inter Milan (72) have surpassed 70 goals after 32 games in the Serie A for just the third time in the last 60 years, following the 2021/22 season (71) and last season (77).

Inter Milan are the side who have scored the most headers in the top five European Leagues (14).

Furthermore, the Nerazzurri lead the way in Serie A when it comes to goals coming from crosses (15). Inter Milan are also the side with highest number of different scorers in Serie A (17) and have conceded the second lowest number of shots (315), behind Bologna on 272.

Arna's Precision

Marko Arnautovic, has scored four goals from nine shots during this Serie A season. His shooting accuracy is at 44%, the highest in the top five European leagues for players who have had the same number of shots.

Toro 150

With the Champions League goal against Bayern München, Lautaro Martínez became the first foreign Inter Milan player to score 150 goals in all competitions, and is the sixth player in the club's history to achieve this feat, following Giuseppe Meazza, Alessandro Altobelli, Roberto Boninsegna, Sandro Mazzola e Luigi Cevenini.

Against Bologna, El Toro has scored four goals in the Serie A, all coming at San Siro though.

Dimarco's assists

Federico Dimarco's seven assists have been worth eight points for Inter Milan in the table. Across the division, the Nerazzurri wing-back is the player who has contributed the most points to his team through his assists.

By setting up Inter Milan's third against Cagliari last time out in the league, Dimarco surpassed his previous record of six assists in the 2023/24 campaign.

Opponents: Bologna

Vincenzo Italiano's Bologna, who have scored 51 and conceded 37 in the league this season, currently sit fifth with 57 points following 15 wins, twelve draws and five defeats.

In their last five outings, the Rossoblù have pikced up ten points, although they lost their last fixture away to Atalanta.

Bologna remain fully in the race for the top four and are aiming to qualify for the Champions League for a second consecutive year.

Vincenzo Italiano favours an attacking style of possession-based football and typically deploys a 4-2-3-1 formation where those on the wing and the attacking midfielder play a key role in supporting the lone striker.

Bologna's top scorer this season is Riccardo Orsolini, who has bagged eleven times in the Italian top flight. Behind the Italian are Santiago Castro and Dan Ndoye, both of whom have eight goals to their names.
