Inter Milan make serious move for Lookman as top target

Interest confirmed by Sky Sport: Lookman wants the move and Inter Milan are ready to act decisively

Inter Milan are getting serious about Ademola Lookman. After the words of the Italian journalist Ivan Zazzaroni confirming the Nerazzurri’s concrete interest, more confirmation has arrived from Sky Sport via Fcinter1908. 

The Atalanta winger is Inter Milan’s top priority to strengthen Cristian Chivu’s attack for the upcoming season.

According to Matteo Barzaghi, Inter Milan have already reached a broad agreement with the player, who has made his desire to move to Milan clear. 

Lookman sees Inter Milan as a natural step forward in his development, following outstanding seasons under Gasperini.

Lookman viewed as the ideal profile to complete Chivu’s front line

The Inter Milan management is ready to present an official offer worth around €40 million (approx. £33.7 million), a significant figure that shows how central the former Leicester and RB Leipzig man is to Chivu’s project. 

However, Atalanta, known for being a tough negotiating club, are holding firm — relying on the player’s consistent performances and a long-term contract.

The most interesting development is that Inter Milan are not forced to sell before making their move. 

Recent outgoing transfers and the financial stability brought by new ownership under Oaktree allow the club to operate more freely in the market.

While Lookman remains the top priority, Inter Milan are also considering backup options in case the deal proves too difficult. 

Alongside the previously mentioned Christopher Nkunku, the Nerazzurri are monitoring Jadon Sancho, who is expected to leave Manchester United, and Nico Gonzalez from Juventus.

The feeling is that Marotta and Ausilio want to close the deal soon. Lookman is seen as the perfect fit to complete Inter Milan’s attacking trio, thanks to his speed, sharp dribbling, and consistent goal-scoring ability.
