The Corriere della Sera reveals internal fractures at Inter Milan following Lautaro Martinez’s public criticism after the Fluminense match

Today’s edition of Corriere della Sera via Fcinter1908 reports on the internal split that has emerged within the Inter Milan environment after Lautaro Martinez’s comments following the match against Fluminense.

His words appear to have affected not only Hakan Calhanoglu but also Marcus Thuram, his strike partner.

The Corriere della Sera reveals internal fractures at Inter Milan following Lautaro Martinez’s public criticism after the Fluminense match.

Here’s what the newspaper wrote:

“Beyond their two very different personalities, which are actually made to be complementary (‘Lauti should laugh more’ / ‘Maybe he laughs too much…’ — their exchange in interviews), it’s possible Lautaro was bothered by his teammate’s overly cautious approach. And it might be that, besides Calha, he was also referring to Marcus.

But Marcus, like others — starting with Dumfries — believes that 'team matters should stay within the team.'

Is the real issue Lautaro’s mentality or the team’s lack of depth?

Does Lautaro always take things too seriously and voice them publicly? Is Marcus lacking the champion's killer instinct?

One truth doesn't exclude the other — and neither does it mean the two won’t get along again.

The real problem was their isolation and the lack of high-quality alternatives — a shortcoming that cost Inter Milan both the Serie A title and the Champions League.

Now, with the emergence of Pio and the arrival of Bonny (still unofficial due to bureaucratic issues), is that enough to raise the level of competition and quality in attack?

What matters most is believing in the new direction and pushing forward with full commitment. If Lautaro sensed hesitation from someone on this front, then Chivu and the Inter Milan management will need to dig deeper.

A major signing (Ederson would qualify) would certainly help.”
